We offer several levels of training from the absolute beginner to the advanced user. Emphasis is placed on understanding how the tools operate and how to choose the best tool for the task at hand.

If you are not sure which level of class is best for you, please review the class descriptions. We recommend starting with the introductory class. Even students with experience find it an excellent refresher and preparation for more advanced training.

Premiere Pro classes are taught on Windows XP Professional.

PRM101 Editing with Premiere Pro

This course introduces the student to the basics of editing using Premiere Pro. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, ripple, roll, slip and slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

PRM201 Motion Graphics in Premiere Pro

This course is for the editor familiar with Premiere Pro who wants to move on to more advanced compositing, effects, and animation techniques. Basic design and effects concepts, compositing techniques, chroma keying, composite modes, animation, and dynamic titling using the tools that come with Premiere Pro will be explored.

PRM230 Color Correction in Premiere Pro

This course focuses specifically on color correction in Premiere Pro with an emphasis on the Color Corrector effect. Students will learn how to read, understand and use the various displays and controls for color manipulation (including the Hue Offset and Curves). In addition to improving image color reproduction, special effects using color controls will also be explored.
