We offer several levels of training from the absolute beginner to the advanced user. Emphasis is placed on understanding how the tools operate and how to choose the best tool for the task at hand.

If you are not sure which level of class is best for you, please review the class descriptions. We recommend starting with the introductory class. Even students with experience find it an excellent refresher and preparation for more advanced training.

Final Cut Pro classes are taught on Mac OSX.

FCP101 Introduction to Final Cut Pro

This three-day hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. In this course, you learn to perform basic editing functions while familiarizing yourself with the user interface. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, ripple, roll, slip and slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

Prerequisites
Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:
Basic knowledge of the Macintosh OS

 

FCP 350: Advanced Color & Finishing in Final Cut Pro
3 days - $1095
This three-day hands-on course delivers comprehensive training in real-world color correction and effects techniques, including motion and filter effects, keying and compositing, animated titles, scene-to-scene color matching, and correcting for broadcast specifications. Working with several real-world projects, you will learn how to properly read video scopes, adjust contrast, fix color balance to achieve broadcast quality video.
