We offer several levels of training from the absolute beginner to the advanced user. Emphasis is placed on understanding how the tools operate and how to choose the best tool for the task at hand.

All classes are taught on the student's choice of Mac or Windows.

If you are not sure which level of class is best for you, please review the class descriptions. We recommend starting with the introductory class. Even students with experience find it an excellent refresher and preparation for more advanced training.

AEX101 Introduction to After Effects

This class covers the fundamental tools and techniques of After Effects (Standard version). Students will learn how to:

• Understand the interface
• Create composite images
• Create 2D animation
• Use different types of keyframes to control animation
• Work with masks
• Create great animated text
• Use transfer modes for composite effects
• Create track mattes for mapping video into specific areas
• Work with nested compositions

AEX201 Intermediate After Effects
2 days - $850
This class is designed to move the experienced After Effects user into more sophisticated tools and techniques, especially those in the Professional version. Students will learn how to:

• Work with parent/child layer relationships
• Use time remapping
• Use Motion tracking
• Use advanced color keying tools
• Composite and animate in 3D space

AEX301 Advanced After Effects
3 days - $1095
This class is designed to move the experienced After Effects user into advanced tools and techniques, especially those in the Professional version. Students will learn how to:

• Use the paint tools
• Rotoscope
• Use Particles
• Use expressions for animating without keyframes
• Modify and create templates
• Use the text animators
• Use compound effects
